Concept
: - |
| |
Sustainable
Development is an economic process in which
the quantity and quality of our reserves of natural
resources (like forests) and the integrity of bio-logical
cycles (like climate) are sustained and passes on to
the future generation. For sustainable livelihood creations,
we emphasize the concept of human rights of the citizens
for their social, economic and cultural development,
human values, justice and eqitable society. Our aim
is to provide the right to self-determination which
is the best lifestyle demanding access to adequate standard
for living, including food, shelter, clothing, livelihood
and employment. |
| |
The Growth in the society is directly dependent on human
beings, both on men and women. They both are partners
in development of the society. Not every society is
sustainable. A sustainable society is built through
sustainable development with a focus on gender equality.
In India, the share of women population to the total
population is almost equal to that of men, but their
role in the development of societies has been neglected
and underestimated. Now, the time has come when women
need to be recognized as an important force as men in
the overall process of development. |
