Reproductive Child Healthcare
Concept : -

Reproductive Health and Childcare service has emerged as one of the fundamentals towards the development of any community. When we talk about the backward areas like Mewat where most of the women are illiterate, proper education on health is indispensable.
Focus : -

No development can be sustainable and complete without at least elementary health education of the target clientele, especially women who are the nucleus of a family. The basic education on health, hygiene/sanitation and childcare is very essential for the overall development of the rural and backward classess of the society. The need of the hour is an integrated approach, which leaves the right impact, thus ensuring overall development of the target group and health has an important and a centre place for all overall development.
Approaches : -
Recognizing lack of awareness in the area of basic health, hygiene and the acute need for strengthening basic health services in the area. Aseed has launched two health education projects of (a) vaccination of SHGs women through ANM under the EU-supported HFCF in Bhiwani and (b) better health and sanitation development in Mewat area with the help from Mewat Development Authority, wherein a large number of people have been exposed to health education, sanitation and bio-compost management, apart from providing free medical check-up.

On the education and awareness about health-related issues in Mewat, Aseed has already gathered a momentun in close association with the Mewat Development Agency in the Nuh, Nagina and Firozpur Jhirka belt of newly formed Nuh district of Haryana. It has already gathered momentum to sensitize the men and women at the school and panchayat levels. In the area of breast feeding to children, nutritious and balanced diet to pregnant mothers, prevention of early girlchild marriages and hygiene and sanitation. Tools used were street plays, songs, seminars and training to animators and school teachers, followed with health camps.
Outcomes : -
This project has started in 1997 and continues till now.
