Aseed's Food Processing & Demonstration Training Center at Arrah, Bihar targets the rural women falling in the age group of productive years which are fruitful for women as after training the trainees in Jamira Village have started pickle and papad making. Many trainees in Dhoban and Kurkuri villages have ventured into chilli, tomato sauce, vinegar and sauce. Women in Barikat have chosen sattu, chilli and tomato sauce. Residents of Piparati village have opted for sattu, bari and pickles and in Arrah the trainees are making jams, jellys and sauces. Twelve awareness and sensitization camps were organized at various places to popularize the micro enterprise spirit among the women. Exposure visits were organized to popularize the products of the trainees to give them the market exposure as stated earlier to reinforce learning by seeing and doing.

Floriculture : Changing life style of the people under increased urban influence has given a better commercial status to floriculture and its potential as a viable agro business is being recognised. The diverse agro climatic conditions, low labour cost and the bio diversity available in India provides competitive advantage to the country which permits perennial production of flower varieties in almost all parts of the country. Currently the major states where floriculture has been popular are Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Andhara Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharastra and National Capital Region.
  »
Medicinal & Aromatic Plants : India's diverse agro-climate and regional topography, necessary infrastructure, trained manpower, expertise, heritage and natural resources are some of the advantages which may make it a leader in this field. In addition, preponderance of indigenous tribal population and their ethnic groups have contributed immensely to the diversification of medicinal and aromatic plants over a period of time.
